The big striker came through the ranks of
Wimbledon, and scored in the first minute of his Wimbledon full senior
debut against Newcastle at St James' Park in September 1997.
A tricky forward, Cort was brought in by
Bobby Robson in July 2000 for a fee of £7m. He scored on his Newcastle
debut against Derby, but was later taken off as he had trouble with his
hamstring. Currently still injured, Cort's return is eagerly anticipated
by fans. |
